Choosing the timber
Teak is the first choice for a main door frame — it is dimensionally stable, naturally termite-resistant and takes polish beautifully, so it still looks right twenty years on. Nandi and Honne are strong, more economical hardwoods that suit bedroom and internal door frames where the frame is not exposed to weather. Mahogani sits between the two on both price and grain. For any opening that gets wet — bathroom, balcony, utility — we will steer you to WPC instead, because no hardwood is a good idea there.
Sizes and sections
Frames are made to the actual opening, not to a standard size, so nothing has to be packed out or trimmed on site. Common sections are 5x3, 6x3, 6x4 and 7x4 inches; heavier sections are available for main doors and wider openings. Tell us the opening size and the wall thickness and we will work out the section with you.
Finishing and fitting
Every frame is planed, the joints cut and fitted by hand, and the corners squared before it leaves the workshop. You can take them raw for your own painter, or have us apply melamine, PU or duco. We deliver across Bengaluru and can fit on site.

- Which wood is best for a main door frame in Bengaluru?

- Can you make frames to a non-standard opening?
- Yes — every frame is cut to the opening you give us. Nothing is made to a fixed catalogue size.
- Do you fit the frames or only supply them?
- Both. Many customers take supply-only and use their own mason; we also deliver and fit across Bengaluru, Jigani, Anekal and the surrounding areas.
